The United Nations estimates that there are well over 6.5 billion people inhabiting the earth. As estimated by the Adherence Group, 33 percent of the world population is Christian. Much of Christian North America is distributed across three major denominational groups, Roman Catholic, mainline Protestant, and non-denominational Christian assemblies. Each of these is further divided by differing styles of worship with a growing trend towards the non-traditional.
