The two names of the company Mansell and Glionna pay tribute to the Mansell family name while honouring a strongly held Italian heritage. The Glionna family name is synonymous with several professional endeavours in early Toronto, including medicine. A great uncle was the city’s first Italian doctor and Italy’s Consular General in Toronto. The family was also well known in music education and orchestral performance circles.
